This is a spiritual programme to discover answers and the happiness that lies within, all in a supportive group setting of like-minded people.
Our Tantra Yoga Foundational Level 1 course is open to anyone, regardless of previous experience, age or physical fitness. Those new to Yoga will be able to follow the teachings with ease and excitement, while more experienced students will benefit from abundant opportunities to deepen their knowledge and personal practice.
Yoga is often purely associated with physical and gymnastic-types of practices. However, in this course you will discover this ancient practice transcends this superficiality and instead dives deeply into the infinite world of spiritual evolution.

Instruction in 20 Hatha Yoga asanas, including physical performance and energetic and healing effects
In-depth knowledge of the complete chakra system and its relationship to your personal practice and daily life
An overview of yogic diets
Powerful yogic techniques for purifying and cleansing the body
Enhanced power of the mind through concentration and visualization techniques
Principles of yama and niyama,
Universal laws that let you harness energy,
Practice of meditation techniques stemming from the ancient yogic tradition
Examination of the various stages and branches of the Yoga system.

Weekend 3: 20-21 June 2020
Weekend 4: 29-30 August 2020
Optional Additional Weekend 5: October 2020 – date to be confirmed.
Saturday 9.00 am-6.00pm, Sunday 9.00am to 5.30pm

This retreat is led by Mel Harris, Founder of The Alchemy of Living and teacher with Somananda Tantra School. The course language is English.
